As I sit on my computer at 10 o'clock on a Saturday night (No, I am not lame, I have had late evenings almost all week. Going to gigs and stuff. See? It's cool.), I wonder:
Is there love out there? Together watching a movie on a laptop screen and being happy. Talking, listening and being understood. Being loved for who we really are. Actually, it's simple, but it is not easy. Speaking for myself, most lovers have arrived and left as strangers.
Today I met a friend I hadn't seen in a while. She had been going through some rough times the last couple of years. As I approached her, she kissed the man by her side good bye, I had never seen him before.
"Just when I thought I don't need anyone else to be happy, love walked into my life. I was fine by myself, when I met Mark," she said.
Since I can remeber I have battled in a love quarrel with myself. Loving the person I've become is quite a difficult task sometimes for all the ifs and maybes that trouble my mind. No one is always perfect, acutally no one is. Ever. Learning to be patient myself is the hardest task, but changes take time.
Isn't the kitchen a perfect place to spend time in, the oven a humble teacher of patience and chocolate sweet medicine for all ailments of the heart? Treating yourself to a piece of "Heavenly raspberry chocolate cake" is a beautiful declaration of self-love.
Go on and give yourself some good lovin'!

Be a good girl/boy, preheat the oven to 180°.
Add flower and baking powder to the choci-butter-mixture. Seperate the eggs. The yolks into the mixutre, now. Add a pinch of salt to the eggwhites and beat the eggwhites real hard until fluffy! Add to the mixture.
Grease the baking tray (around 9", Springform tray 23cm) with some butter and pour the mixture into it. Put the raspberry on top and bake for 40-45 minutes.
Eat it. Love it and share some with friends, family, neighbours and strangers!
